Thanks for stopping by! My name is Jim Little and I live in Nova Scotia, home to some of the best, and most public, Atlantic Salmon waters in North America. I started fly-fishing by complete accident in 2000. On a trip to NWT to visit some family, a friend of my Uncle’s had a 5 weight rod and I asked if I could try it. After a few very awkward casts, a grayling rose for my tiny little midge and I’ve been hooked ever since.
The name, SOS, means Salvelinus, Oncorhynchus, Salmo. These are my favourite trout and salmon to fish for. I have fished for Grayling and Lake trout on Great Slave Lake, Coho and Chum salmon on the Nitinat River on Vancouver Island, King mackerel and Trevally in Key West Florida and Brown trout on the Petty River system on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland.

The purpose of my Blog is to give those interested lots of links I’ve found helpful, some gear reviews on things that I personally use, some fly tying and fly-fishing videos that I find interesting and speak about some of the adventures and misadventures I’ve had along the way. I have no idea what direction this whole thing will take but come along for the journey and let me know what you think!
Tightlines,
Jim
